Material World

How we source the finest Japanese denim, Italian leather, and Peruvian alpaca for the new collection.

Material World

The story of any garment begins with its materials. Before a single sketch is drawn, our sourcing team spends months traveling to mills, tanneries, and farms around the world, searching for fibres and fabrics that meet our standards for quality, sustainability, and character.

Japanese Denim

Our denim comes from a family-run mill in Okayama prefecture that has been weaving on vintage shuttle looms since 1965. The fabric is slower to produce, with a distinctive selvedge edge and a texture that softens beautifully over time. Each bolt is inspected by hand before it leaves the mill.

The best materials have a life of their own. They age, they change, they tell the story of the person wearing them.

Italian Leather

For our leather goods, we work with a third-generation tannery in Tuscany that uses vegetable-tanning methods dating back centuries. The process takes weeks rather than days, using tree bark extracts instead of chemical agents. The result is leather with depth, warmth, and a patina that develops uniquely over years of use.

We believe that choosing materials responsibly isn't a constraint — it's a creative opportunity. Limitations breed invention, and the best design has always emerged from a deep understanding of what you're working with.
